‘Le Torri is a typical Tuscan holiday villa. Erected in the XIVth century, the villa is a spacious and elegant family-run farmhouse situated in the heart of Tuscany. The closest town, San Quirico in Collina, in the Montespertoli municipality, is beautifully situated in the heart of Chianti, close to Florence, Siena, and San Gimignano. The holiday villa is run by the family who own the farmhouse. The villa is located on the top of a hill, surrounded by the natural beauty of vineyards and olive groves, reflecting the Tuscan landscape. This renaissance villa has been beautifully and fully restored. It is ideally situated in the heart of the intriguing Chianti region and boasts an area to have a relaxing barbeque and enchanting gardens. |

Day 5
| This basic cooking class is absolutely for everyone, even the kitchen helpless! After pick up at the Letorri and a short drive, our participants are divided into teams. Our guide then tells us about the easy menu we will prepare and starts us on preparing the ingredients. Our participants are divided into four teams who then proceed to work on preparation of a fine Italian meal. We take a break to visit the winery and oil mill, have a snack, then go back to the kitchen where we finish preparation, set the table and sit down to enjoy the fruits of our labour. After lunch, we can relax on the lawn, chat at the table while having espresso the Italian way, or take a stroll around the romantic private park. | |

Siena, San
Gimignano, with Monteriggioni Leaving the hotel around 9:30am, we will head immediately to the walled city of Siena where you stand solidly planted back in the Middle Ages. On three sienna-coloured hills in Tuscany’s centre, Sena Vetus lies in Chianti country. Perhaps preserving its original character more markedly than any other city in Italy, it’s even today a showplace of the Italian Gothic characterized by Gothic palaces, almond-eyed Madonnas, aristocratic mansions, narrow streets, medieval gates, walls, and towers. The city having been one of the most powerful banking cities in the world during the middle ages, features some of the most important works of art in Italy. San Gimignano, the famous town of the fine towers, is considered one of the main attractions in the region and a medieval jewel. Monteriggioni is the best example of an intact walled town. We return to the hotel about 5:30pm. Group get-together for a farewell dinner at the Letorri prepared by our hosts. It's incredible! |

Day 9 The Chianti Countryside |
Leaving the hotel at 9:30am, the day will be entirely dedicated to the Chianti, defined by many foreigners as “the most beautiful countryside in the world”. It is famous for the wine, but we go there mainly to enjoy the beauty of its walled medieval towns, castles, stone farmhouses and breathtaking landscapes. We will visit Passignano, Montefioralle, Greve and Castellina in Chianti. We will have a very special country style lunch in Volpaia. We will also visit an old winery where the Chianti Classico is still made like 500 years ago, and taste three of their best wines, while receiving an interesting briefing about winemaking. Due to its rich historical background, and the beauty and emotions that only this area can give, the day will not only be wonderful but a true spiritual experience. We return to the hotel about 5:30pm. Dinner locally (if you're still hungry). |
